Miami Christian School is a private evangelical Christian Pre-K through 12th preparatory school with an emphasis on individual nurturing, quality academics, critical & analytical thinking skills, fine arts, practical arts, athletics, character development, community service, extracurricular activities and maintaining a small student/teacher ratio. Currently the oldest college preparatory school in Miami – Dade County, the school is accredited by AdvancED (formerly SACS) and the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). The school is SEVP certified (a SEVIS school) and can issue I-20s to international students.
Miami Christian School has special curriculum features for students at each level. The elementary school offers small classes with an array of diverse electives. The middle school offers a laptop program, and Honors courses. The high school offers Regular College Preparatory Courses, Advanced Placement Courses, an Honors Track, a Scholars Track, an ESOL Program and a Resource Room. The school has Dual Enrollment programs with Florida International University and the Academy of the Art University in San Francisco. All students bring either a laptop or tablet; both middle and high school students utilize block scheduling. Victor Academy, Miami Christian’s accredited online school, can be used by distance learning students or for credit recovery by on campus students.
MCS graduates have been accepted into a number of the best colleges and universities. A short list of these institutions include Boston College, Cornell University, Drexel University, New York University, Northeastern University, Notre Dame University, Penn State University, St. John’s University, Tulane University, University of Pennsylvania, University of Chicago, University of Glasgow and many more. A complete list can be provided to interested families upon request.
To attend Miami Christian School, students and parents must submit an application and supporting documents. International students will follow SEVIS procedures for application and entry. At the time of application submission, families agree to pay the nonrefundable application and testing fees per student. Upon enrollment, families are required to pay an annual registration fee based on grade level, as well as tuition costs for the student. Additional fees are required for specialized education such as ESOL and Resource Room. Tuition and school fees are nonrefundable.
